Hello! My name is Lucy Filce, I have been practicing Pilates since 2000 & qualified as a teacher in 2007. My journey has taught me that Pilates heals. It is a wonderful system of therapeutic exercises that I have seen recover people from their pain. In 2007 I was using Pilates for fitness; teaching group classes with the aim to get strong & flexible. As the years have passed I have found that the majority of my attendees come for rehabilitation. Many individuals are recommended to come by their physiotherapists, Osteopaths & Chiropractors. The majority of them have back pain of some description including slipped discs & sciatica. I also see a lot of participants who are recovering from hip & knee replacements. As I came into to more contact with contraindications I started to tailor my CPD courses for knowledge. Now I keep in touch with the latest practices in knee, hip, foot, spinal and shoulder surgery by attending regular lectures with the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Birmingham and Birmingham Knee and Shoulder Clinic.
I teach regular group classes for fitness and I also teach group classes for rehabilitation.
I do one to one training for fitness and rehab.
I assess postural alignment and prescribe exercise for correcting misalignments.
I also offer weekly recorded classes for you to do at home in your own time.
All Classes are currently online via Zoom due to Covid-19.

The classes are accessible for all abilities from beginners to advanced, so everybody is welcome.
I teach a remedial beginners level class on a Thursday evening for people suffering from back pain, slipped disc, arthritis, osteoporosis and those recovering from injury.

1:1 Pilates Personal Training
For Fitness, Injury Rehab, Postural Alignment and Pain Relief
One to one training for those of you that need a tailored approach. You will have a specific program written for your needs, whether that be Fitness and Toning, Injury Rehab and Pain Relief or Postural Alignment and Correction.
1:1 sessions are one hour long and can be bought as a single session or in blocks of six sessions. Depending on your location sessions can be done face to face in your home or online via Zoom. Currently I am operating all 1:1s online due to Covid-19.
1 session = £45
Block of 6 sessions = £200

Postural Correction Program
An online one to one supported program with diagnostic reports and prescribed exercises.
Assessments are easy and can be done remotely via a Zoom call.
Your Postural Correction Program consists of:
1. An 'Initial Assessment Report' detailing postural deviations including a Biometric Report and a Functional Movement Analysis.
2. Six online one hour 1:1 sessions where we will work together actioning your prescribed corrective exercises. Plus access to videos you can use at home in between our focussed sessions.
3. A Visual Comparison Report demonstrating your progress.
Postural assessments are bought in six week blocks with a full assessment carried out on week one and a comparison report carried out on week six with the option to continue with further exercises for another six weeks.

Pre-recorded Pilates Videos
Train in your own time, anywhere!
A one hour Pilates class video you can watch any time, anywhere. Upon purchase of the video you have access to the members area for seven days where you can view the one hour class. A new one hour class video is released weekly.
The videos are suitable for all levels of ability as variations and alternatives are offered.
The videos are not suitable if you are pregnant or have osteoporosis. I recommend that you get in touch with me personally if you have a slipped disc as the videos may not be appropriate for you.
